Form Anti-Spam Launch: Three-Layer Filtering on Frequency, Fields, and Source
Three-layer filtering from submission frequency to field rules and source validation reduces machine submissions while leaving legitimate inquiries unaffected.
Forms are prime targets for bots. We've implemented three key rules: rate limiting per source within short time windows, strict validation for format and length of critical fields, and logic to verify the consistency between the referral page and submission timestamp.
Rules are intentionally conservative to avoid false positives, even if it means missing some bot submissions. When a rule is triggered, provide a readable message instead of an error.
Thresholds will be adjusted based on actual submission data, and abnormal submissions will be logged separately for easier troubleshooting.
